About This Spot

Stepping into Father’s feels like visiting a well-loved community kitchen where familiar faces and the comforting hum of everyday conversation greet you warmly. Nestled just off US-5 in Bellows Falls, this American restaurant slips easily into your day with a pace that’s unhurried yet attentive, inviting you to settle in and savor the simple pleasure of a good meal shared among neighbors.

The atmosphere here carries the easygoing charm of a local diner with a thoughtful touch—bright and clean, but never rushed or sterile. The space holds an inviting coziness that encourages you to linger over a carefully poured cup of coffee or the satisfying plate in front of you. Whether it’s the first meal of the day or a midday pause, the steady flow of genuine smiles from the team reflects a quiet pride in small details, from well-cooked dishes to personalized service.

What unfolds on the table echoes that sense of comforting familiarity without ever feeling repetitive. Here, homemade elements mingle with hearty, honest flavors—a burger crafted with care and accompanied by shoestring fries, or a sandwich so fresh it almost reveals its own story. The menu’s balance of classics and local favorites invites you into moments where crisp iced tea refreshes as much as the light conversations pulsing softly around you.

Father’s gently captures the essence of eating in a place that welcomes you like family but respects your pace and palate. It’s the kind of spot where the staff remember your name, or at least your favorite seat, and where your arrival feels as anticipated as your meal. Hidden in plain sight along a familiar route, it’s a quiet discovery for anyone who values food that feeds more than hunger—comfort that lingers, experience that stays.

Just had breakfast here; everything was cooked exactly to order, served very quickly and with a bright smile and terrific attitude. Place was spotless with plenty of space. Pricing was reasonable, food was wholesome and filling. Waitress was very efficient and friendly - I think we just found our new go-to for eating out!

Lovely and cozy- food, smile and environment. One of the fresh-est sandwich! We trued the fishwich and turkey club- absolutely lite and fresh. The coffee tasted good too which is rare for 130pm. The server was sweet as we entered after 1, and they close at 2. Must visit if you are around!

Oh my goodness...what an unexpected surprise. The food and service at Father's were the absolute best. We'll definitely be back. Our waitress, Rachel was so personable, friendly and on top of her game...the best we've had in a long time.

Father's was absolute fire. Our usual spot for burgers is closed for thr season but we didnt have too much to spend. We figured a diner would have a well priced burger. Not only was their burger actually MASSIVE , they cook up likely the best Ruben ive ever had.

A small relaxing place with a great breakfast buffet. Great deal with the breakfast and the food and service is great. I'm going to be sure to come here whenever I'm in the area.
